SIES College of Management Studies has launched a Doctoral (Ph.D.) Program in Management jointly with the Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur. Under the given scheme SIESCOMS has been recognized as the Management Research Center of the Bengal Engineering and Science University (BESUS), Shibpur. The eligibility criteria for admission to this program is an MBA degree with a higher second class (55% and above) plus a minimum of 2 years experience with a corporate or a government/non-government organization in a supervisory capacity or in teaching profession with an academic institution including a research organization. The areas of research in the functional areas of management are:

  • Strategy
  • Financial Management
  • Human Resource Management
  • Marketing Management
  • Information/ Systems Management

This Ph.D. Program has a unique appeal for working professionals from industry as well as academics, especially due to the panel of distinguished academicians and corporates associated with this program guides as well as external experts.

SIES College of Management Studies (SIESCOMS) has launched a Doctoral (Ph.D.) Program in Management in Affiliation with the Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey (SNDT) Women's University. The candidates desirous of pursuing their doctoral Program in the Management Studies from SNDT may get themselves enrolled and pursue the same at SIESCOMS. The areas of Research could be any of the following functional areas of management:

  1. General Management
  2. Marketing
  3. Finance
  4. Human Resource
  5. Environment Management
  6. Strategic Management

Eligibility

Women having a Master’s Degree in the subject (with 55% marks) of any statutory University in the country or any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent to the Master’s Degree are eligible.

Procedure for Application

Admission for the first half of the academic year 2010-2011 has commenced. The candidate should apply through submission of the application cum research proposal. The research proposal should  contain a brief write up indicating her proposed  area of research. The selection process will be through interview by an expert committee. However, this selection will only be provisional subject to final ratification by SNDT Women’s University.
